This week’s Special Showcase is a real find. It is the work of Rachel who is only in Year 2. She goes to Lodden Primary in Reading, Berkshire. Rachel has chosen bears to be her characters but there is no sing of Goldilocks!

This is my story

Once upon a time there was a family of bears In America.  There was a mummy bear, a daddy bear and a baby bear.  They lived by a river in the forest.

One day they were looking for tasty fish as shiny as a coin in the river for their breakfast. 

Suddenly the ground shook; it was an earthquake.  The ground slowly parted and a huge hole appeared right where they were standing. 

The bears fell into the hole and they were scared.  They had to climb on top of each other to climb out of the deep, dark hole. 

Luckily the hole was not too deep so the bears climbed out and they lived happily ever after.
